i've got 10 or 15 lbs mounded up in the hopper for the one burn during the night ....using 5 lbs or so. i needed to run the hopper way down as there was lots of fines accumulated over the last couple years. was getting so it would only burn 40 lbs of the 60 lb hopper due to fines creating clingers.... hopefully i've cured that

I run mine empty about every other week to keep the fine in check.

I've been cleaning & oiling the motor on the upstairs (bedroom) window A/C unit today, unhappy wife = unhappy Rob. :picard: I'm gonna toss it in for a day or two, then I'll be ripping it back out again. The things I do for love .. :D

Stove's been off for a full day here also. Gotta empty the hopper here too! And give the venting a quick cleaning.

Shut off the Cellar Dweller yesterday. May have to turn it back on in a few days, but for the time being I'll let the basement stay cool - air conditioning at my place means changing which level of the house you are on :). Upstairs stove still controlled by thermostat - has not fired since yesterday morning.

Weird, I've never had that problem. With my current stoves, if it doesn't get collected by the fines box, it goes thru the auger (and I run some nasty stuff, fines-wise, at times). When I had the Hastings, it just dropped down the chute. The only time my stoves go dry is by mistake

Surprisingly the P43 fired early this morning (around 6 AM). Surprising because it was warm yesterday with good solar gain. Although we did have massive rain come in late afternoon, and it rained late night/early this morning - but it never got cold out (low 50's probably). Only thing I can figure is we must have gotten some good wind too.

Stoves have been off for several days, and this morning it was too chilly and I tossed a fire in the little guy.

By tomorrow it's supposed to warm some and dry out a bit, then by mid week another much colder storm drops south out of the gulf of Alaska and the snow level drops a bunch (Pass levels at 5 K)

    I like it

Pete doesn't have a pellet burner at his new place yet  and it's been cheaper for him to burn gas in the current market .
