Where’s the Stihl 400?

I have my echo 271t just for that purpose. Used. It today at the big Locust scrounge I’ve been working.

Sold my 026 Saturday to a nice guy and fellow wood burner. Said he has a OWB so he goes through a lot of wood. Said he has a 562, but needs a smaller saw for limb/trim.

I sent him the link to FHC. Not sure if he’s checked it out yet.

so I guess I’m “half way” to getting a new saw! 400i or 261c... decisions decisions!

I got a call yesterday from my dealer that they will have 4 on Friday and did I still want one.

As my luck goes, I just picked up a 562xp last week as well. I was anticipating the 400 showing up around Fall.

So perhaps this Sat Ill have one in my hands.

 

Did you get the price on it? I’ve been spending like I wouldn’t see it until fall.

 

Didn’t ask. I am anticipating spending around $900. I will update once I get it.

 

Thanks to Ron T I just called the Stihl man, but he was out on a delivery run. He won’t be back at the store until tomorrow. Saved from myself for another day.

For a chain saw i guess im always in the spending spirit. My friend has an 036 Pro he bought cheap couple weeks ago, didnt wanna sell. A week later yes. New bar and rubber put in. He wanted to sell last night as he calls me. Today he is keeping it. Later this week he'll wanna sell it again. He's worse than a woman for changing his mind. Hopefully no female members read this!
Id just assume put that money toward the 400. My birthday is Sunday (hint, hint, hint)
