Just heard from Dad-- after a couple weeks of nothing, the gallon jug is almost full overnight. Can't wait to head home and check it out.

Went for a ride this weekend and saw a bunch of trees tapped down around Ashland, OH. Wish I had some maple trees!!

Switched jugs, this is how much I got in the first one. One of the maples we cut down last year is really sapping from the stump we left-- headed back over in a couple minutes to tap that stump!

We get about a gallon per tap when it's flowing good. Have lots of jugs clean and ready warning it will get addictive.

I think I can get a good supply from work, they are always buying distilled water and throwing the jugs away.

"Better get a bigger bucket":D Takes a lot of sap to make a gallon. Good luck and enjoy.

Yep, sure does. This is what I have to collect it in. Changing them out as needed.

Got another 9 cups of sap today. It was flowing pretty good when I emptied the jugs, should have quite a bit tomorrow too I think.

Over three gallons today off of two trees and one stump. This about matches how much I've got so far all season. Good day.

I'm not set up for reducing the sap outdoors so I've been trying to reduce it in the house. Canner on electric stove-- not so good. Large turkey roaster-- quite good!
