Its okay. Still a catchy tune. Just alter the lyrics to whatever your hoarding "pour some black birch on me"
Hes coming to check out my progress, Ill know tomorrow when the machine will come. Had my dad on a rope today pullin maples away from the quarry. One of the bigger ones fell into the crotch of another and split it way down, was a little hairy for a little, sorry no pic of the widow maker. Just the aftermath
A lot of daylight coming in now. I'm glad the excavator guy is flexible. And I'm glad no widows were made!
So theres the tree that split the crotch, i wish i had a pic but i wasnt thinking about it. I hate when dangerous stuff like that happens but i love the thought process of figuring out the safest way to do it. It was pretty bad. My dad was pretty impressed, made me feel pretty good. He’s the hardest working guy i know it was nice to have him helping me. He used to split all his wood by hand until he heard a pop in his shoulder when swinging the maul.
Yup, every tree you see there is going. The tree i was felling had a hard lean to the rock pile, i had my dad on a rope but he did thebest he could, what happened still worked out better than having it fall on the rocks. I still have dozens of trees in this hoard.
Happy Saturday all, another mixed load out of the quarry and i split it rt out of the truck. Took the kids to an apple orchard cuz my daughter made the 40 min trek home from college, just finished splitting and this pic doesnt do justice to this impressive pile
Really, i feel like we are back and forth with posts of full trucks . Iv been cutting so much my hands are numb in the morning. My wife said i need counseling yesterday. While i was outside splitting she was telling our daughter (home from college) this has been my life for the past few weeks your father has been obsessed with wood , worse than ever
It's part of your recovery from being sick. The pendulum swings one way, it's got to swing back again. Perfectly normal.
Just got this txt from my brother in law - Guy I work with Broc bought 80 acres in new Ipswich said u can go cut all the trees u want especially along the road he just cut in land is right where we hunted. New Ipswitch is the next town over from me. OH BOY!!!
