33 bags all of it cold weather stuff so I'm melting into a puddle over here.
Might shut down the stove tomorrow and run the furnace
from here on in unless temps dip to the teens again in which
case I'd fire the stove back up.

2 tons of Somerset left over. Also have about 15 bags of magic spark and 10 bags of weed seed pellets. Hoping not to have to break into the Somersets. Gonna be close.

No luck here in saving my Spruce. So far the box stores near me have received sub par pellets.

Talked to my neighbor yesterday who scored 25 bags of FSU a few days ago in Concord NH. They are new to burning and that is their only heat source due to the oil monster dying last September. This has been the best pellet they have burned yet and noticed the difference. I hope I have them convinced to get some softies next year.

By now, I am usually on the oil burner at least some of the time. Not yet and Monday is not getting above 25 degrees. Last 2 days the stove and oil burner would have been off during daytime for me had the sun been out, but not the case either.

Is your stove not hooked up to a thermostat? Glad I have my harman hooked up to one and it will shut down when there isn't a need for heat.

Yes it's on a Skytech thermostat. Was supposed to
be warmer today than it actually was so I didn't shut the stove off
but soon as the temps are steady 40's I will.

Just saved many of my Spruce Pointes !! Home Depot had FSU with no limit today.

Got 65 bags (2 trips for my Ridgeline) for me and Teresa. I will probably keep 30-40 bags as she should be able to get by on 25 or so. If they have any left tomorrow, I will grab some more. They did have Greene Supreme as well :zip:. Guy said that they had about 30 ton of FSU and about the same of Greene Supreme left as of this evening.

    All stacked in the garage

Nice G, Just in the nick of time. There's some hope that I too might find some kickers to keep my AWF for next season!

If I don't find some shoulders soon. I'll be so depressed if I got to waste these! I might have to drown my sorrows(AKA Lots of BEER)!!!

I messed up by not scoffing up the AWF when HD had them 6 weeks ago. Not making that same mistake this time with the FSU. Made 2 trips after work last night and maybe another today. Today we will have Teresa' Avalanche so might grab another ton if they have it. Teresa would take 30 of that and my next door neighbor could use 20 more. If they dont take the 20, I would take them in a heartbeat. OINK

I was talking with him 2 nights ago. The week they went to Florida recently, I helped with the dogs. He told me that he had a full freezer of venison from a large deer that was hit by a car in front of our homes last fall. Hung the carcass and butchered it himself. For some reason during the week they were gone, the breaker tripped on the freezer-they lost it all. He said that had never happened before-of course it had to be when they were away. :headbang:

That is enough to make you sit down and cry! Huge loss. You just never know what good or bad will knock on your door. We lost a freezer full of food last year. I refroze all the food before I cleaned it out. Made it mush easier to handle and no odors. In my case, it was just odds and ends of bought food. No game or garden products. But it was two outdoor trash cans full.

I'll say it again. You have to admire a man that keeps more beer on hand than heating fuel.
