I too shut mine off this morning before I left for work. House was a bit chilly when I got home because it never did get to 50ºF here. Stoves cranking now to get it warm before the boss gets home!

Shut my stove down, and had an exhaust fan running. Still have the house a bit warmer than I want. First shut down, went two weeks. Glass still clean except for a haze at the top, and there was no build up of ash, (it falls into the ash pan.) I took a paint brush to the inside to brush it out, then used a screw driver to chisel out some ridges of carbon in the burn pot. Fried it back up because it is going below freezing tonight.

I must be getting snootish, I would have only bought a ton for the fringe. Saved the other space for some AWF-PTL's or sumtin! Coarse the $170 price in my area is non existent, Best delivered dealz are over $250-ish. Stuffin with box store stuff "IS" the local deal @209/ton, But I got to fetch em myself. Never did check box store delivery rates but assume its like $50/ton or there round abouts?

I got 3 ton delivered last fall from HD at "No Charge". My understanding is 3 tons or more, no delivery fee.

The way I look at it, even if it is $65, I'm going to spend that much in gas fetchin them myself.

Lately I have only had room for 1 ton due to keeping up to my usage and filling as I go. I haven't let the stash run lower than 2 tons all season. If I had more room, I could do it. But only having room for around 4 or just under. And I am sitting on almost 2 tons of cold season stuff. Fetching one at a time is working out pretty well. Stash stays full and I stay happy. No low stash jitters either! :D

As a pellet pig, I must fondle them several times a day or I just don't feel right.

I started a new excersize routine, I've been trying to haul one pellet at a time to my hopper. This way I get to touch every one of them and it takes a lot of trips back and forth. Except the stoves eating them faster than I can. But I am getting thirstier than usual. So I usually whimp out, toss in the whole bag and then fetch a beer.

All these weather boxes that are in peoples signatures are making me depressed. :(

I see lots of 40's and 50's. Even Thursday when they said we'd hit 50 it only got to 42, and that was at 10:30 PM or so, then the bottom fell back out again.

Although, it isn't bad today at 30 degrees. Its the 20 MPH wind that goes along with it that sucks.

That's more like it. 25 is all too familiar.

I need to dig up the thread that has the instructions for adding that weather thingy to my signature.

I knew you liked playing with fire, but that kind of fire will get ya a knot on your noggin. ;)

Shut mine down this morning and did a complete cleaning this afternoon, including venting.
Burning away now so I'm not running from the skillet :D

I do that when they're naked in the hopper. Don't get that plastic distorting the feel of the real thing.
