1/2 ton, do not believe in hoarding anymore, bought 22 tons a few years back, price is stable, readily available around here, no reason to tie up 4 grand

I just picked up 40 bags of the Curran softwood. I did not realize they had the softwood there. So I figured I would try them out. I have been burning the blend recently and they are not too bad. Ashy, but the ash is light and fluffy. Sort of like the last 9 inches of snow we got. But, they burn cleaner than the Grinch Supremes I have been burning lately! So I am going to try mixing the Curran softwood with the Grinches and see how that goes. I will mix them 50/50 right in the hopper and we will see.

Those softies have had pretty good reviews. I'd burn them w/o mixing.....use the "Grinches" in the early spring "shoulder" season when you don't need as much heat.

The Grinches are just dirtier than s_it. They put out enough heat for the camp. I'm just heating it to 40-50 deg. But holy crap are they dirty burning pellets. The curran are a little ashy, but it is light fluffy stuff. Easy to clean. Grinches leave black nasty as_ _hit. How ya like that for a review?

Oh. And how did they decide to put the word supreme in Grinch Supremes anyway? Supreme to what?

I think with the 85 bags of pellets I have now, crappy as the 45 bags of Grinch Supremes may be, the 85 bags should get me through the rest of the year.

    45 Grinch Supremes
    40 Currans Softies

Just dumped bag 151 in the hopper. Still didn't count what's left of the stash. I had to rake the snow off the garage roof when I got home before it rains tomorrow. Now it's beer time.

Saw a couple new brands (well, new in my area anyways) tonight when I stopped by Family Farm and Home. Ozarks and Kirtlands. I've heard of both but never burned either. I should have grabbed a few bags but didn't. Now that I see temps are going back in the teens again next week, I might just pick up a few bags.

This warm weather is welcomed here. It's letting the Enerzone do all the work. I turned it off this a.m. and I am just now starting it up. Off for 14 hrs and the house is only 69°.

I think I have 36 bags left, stove has been off for a while, with temps in the 50s the house gets to warm. I want to get at least 25 more bags to get me through till spring, maybe a ton if I have room!
