Of all the places I would not expect it, I was reading AARP the other day and there was an artical on hangover cures.

Best way to prevent a hangover is to not stop drinking.

Odd but I didn't even know it happened until after I was done cutting.

My jokes about it fell on deaf ears with my wife. :)

Split and stacked 2 face cords today. Also moved 2 face cords under cover of front porch to be burned asap. Gotta make room for 2 cords, and I'm not burning it fast enough. 75 inside with windows open! Still no cold in sight...4plus inches of rain coming this week.

We did the homemade gift swap with our good friends and neighbors next door. We figured it would be a quick visit and be on our way. We started with cheese and crackers and his homemade hard cider. His Hearthstone Tribute got lit. His wife brings out sliced, toasted homemade breads. More cheese is brought out.

I went home and grabbed an arm load of two year seasoned elm, some sliced chicken, sliced Canadian bacon, and olives. I went back for a jar of my homemade crabapple jelly for the bread. There's pickles, cut vegetables and french onion dip brought out. Their coffee table is about spilling over with food. Lastly, Christmas cookies, chocolates and rum balls to cap it off.

We ended up having 5 hours of very good food and conversation with friends.

Officially old - went to help the little fella up the front steps and tweaked my back leaning back to give him a hand.

So, since I couldn't do any physical work and it was nap time and football hadn't started I finally tried out the Lansky sharpening set I think I got last Christmas. I put a nice edge on a wicked dull knife, and the best part was it was such a relaxing task. I think I found a new beer drinking, low effort hobby for zen. Some sharp knives in the future, I did my 5 year old pocket knife (first sharpening, yep she cuts paper now) and the chef's knife.

Wrapped some Christmas gifts, finished the tractor lights and cleaned the shed & basement a bit. Decent weekend, time to start getting the cooking in gear for Christmas Eve party.

It's Monday morning and I get to stay home! Yeah! got quite a few things done yesterday but at a less frantic pace as I have a few days before we travel. Going to enjoy my tea and FHC this morning.
