    Two more days and I'll be Las Vegas.... :thumbs:... Vacation..... Here we come.... These last two weeks of work have been some hum dingers.... But I'll be 4 steps behind when I get back, :rofl: :lol:

    Thanks... It'll be my second time there. I usually don't leave the house on my vacations, but we did a big group last spring. Just didn't get to do all that we wanted to. Plus I kinda of like it there, it's interesting. Never would have seen myself say that 5 years ago....:rofl: :lol:

    Made $50 off my truck not starting today--


    Went outside to a truck that would not turnover this morning. Checked the battery and realized it was the starter -- got it started with a hammer so that I could pull it into my heated garage.

    Called Napa and they wanted 150 -- so I ordered one from Advance Auto online for $105 (with a 30% off discount code) . While I was pulling the old one which I had replaced 4 years ago I wondered if there was a warranty -- found the old receipt from Advance and brought it with me to pick up the new starter. Turns out there was a lifetime warranty :)

    I figured they would just refund the $105 I had just spent. But the manager decided it 'would be best' if they just refunded my money from 4 years ago -- I had originally paid $155

    So I left with a new starter and $50 in my pocket. :)

    Did I say I was going through some Ash? I put the kids to work when it warmed up outside today. When it was -1 with a little wind out they helped me move more wood in. I have plenty inside already, but I figured if it is that warm, might as well take advantage of it. o_O I went outside and hauled the wood to the cellar window. They stayed in the cellar, with the nice warm boiler running right behind them, and stacked it for me. Spoiled kids.

    I went to camp at about 5:00 and cleaned the hell out of the pellet stove. Then fired it back up and bumped it up another notch for tonight.

    Man, that storage tank is down to 160 at the house again. Boiler is down to 175. It is running full blast and inching up a degree or two at a time. I shut it right down at about 6:30 and cleaned it really good. Took a total of 15 minutes. Pulled the plug at the bottom of the chimney outside and cleaned that out as well.

    Currently -12 on the back porch with a slight wind.
