    I don't know if a harder steel pin will fix that.

    Harder = more brittle. Usually...

    You might want to try a stainless pin, and if those don't hold up, maybe some more exotic metal, like titanium?

    What size pins are they?

    I would have to ask my neighbor what the exact diameter is. He turned them for it. We still have the originals, which he put back in for me for now so I could use the bucket and forks while he turns some new pins and straightens a couple braces I bent. :emb:

    If he turned them them very well may be too soft. You could always harden them yourself.

    Caffeine time. Slept in until 6 this morning. I hope to do some more prep work on barn area today.

    While thinning less desirable trees for horse pasture area and barn area I have been piling some firewood logs for next year's supply. Sometime I need to start processing them as well. I think I probably have 3-3.5 full cord in logs. I have another .5 cord that is already split for next year.

    Grabbed a box of sawdust from a jobsite yesterday. This coupled with some old candles should give me something to do next weekend.

    Gonna try the fire starter thing. Maybe some shredded paper would be nice too? Yeah...

    Plan on using egg cardboard egg cartons for the molds.
