I wonder how many people will get hurt or hurt someone else today in the retail world? What a shame, perfect example of how we have gotten so far away from the true meaning of Christmas! The end is near!

Not sold on the end is near but I think you're right about too many people have forgot about the real meaning of Christmas....a celebration of the most amazing gift of unselfish love!

We have to take our dog Spartacus to Omaha for an eye checkup after lunch. Hopefully the insane black Friday shoppers will be wore out and at home when we get there. Crossing my fingers....and toes. :)

    Rain...rain...and more rain.

Hoping to go pick up a CL drill press here in a while...if this guy ever gets back with me.

Might light a fire here in a bit.

I found a 14" bandsaw on CL last week. Just to close to the holidays to justify the purchase.

Hope you had a very nice walk/romp with the dogs. Doesn't look like you have any snow. Our three dogs didn't come out from under the covers when I head out for my walk.

I've got to get motivated to get errands done.

Let's see. Put up insulating film on bay window ( ugggg, looks like a pita, several panes, 5-6), get up in the attic and move some batting that was incorrectly installed that blocks air flow from the soffit vents, and most importantly, haul the rest of my wood for this year from my buddies house and stack it on the patio.

I can't do the wood chores until the pavement dries. We had record rain on thanksgiving. Well over an inch fell. Some places here got nearly 2" of rain.

Hate attics/crawl spaces. put that one off as long as you can! Don't mind moving the wood in the rain, even your favorite team played (sorta) in the rain yesterday.

I know no one wants to talk about leftovers, but here goes anyway.

I have a vacuum packed brisket from this summer that I never cooked. (kinda like leftover...from summer) Tomorrow is the day! Son and girlfriend will be coming over and thought it would be a good time to use the roaster.

The only way I would go anywhere on Black Friday is if someone had a 1/2 price sale on beer !

I remember how surprised I was when I was down in the South and I learned they had drive-THROUGH beer stores! You don't even have to get out of the truck!
