Went to work on Monday, waiting on a test fixture and the machinist is out until next week..... Sure I'll take a week off too! Split for a couple hours today with the hydro and got the leaves done for the year. Mower is startron-ed and cleaned up, blower is dry, picked up the little guy early and he helped me load up some indoor wood.

The only bad thing, I waited too long on a local tree to drop and haul off. I texted to say this week looked good for me, but it was already gone. Now I am just about out of wood lined up, luckily I should be just about a cord shy for '18-'19 wood.

    Feed my saws!!

It was an uneventful trip home, yes? That's the best kind.
Got pics of your trip? Tomorrow or this weekend?

Caffeine time. I wasn't thinking about the fact that I need to dig several post holes and get the rest of the single rail fence built down by the gate before it's too cold or too much snow. I better do that today. I cleared the area to the left and right of the gate when I was working this area before. Fence is up on left side of gate already. image.jpeg image.jpeg

Have to do some gas piping for a liquor store today. The owner is a great person and for whatever reason (remodeling, I think) decided to have the gas meter moved. After that, who knows?

Drinking a cup of coffee and trying to figure what to do today. Need to move wood up to the house and take the boys hunting this evening. Other than the probably try to stay out of the wife's way while she cooks for tomorrow.

There we are. Done and done! image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Not bad for a day's work.

I had to take down one dead Pine that I didn't want to eventually fall on the fence after I put it up.

The Kubota worked flawless as usual. Worked this by myself putting up string line, marking hole locations, and digging each hole with backhoe. Placing post, then carefully using backhoe to backfill by slowly "side swiping" with bucket to re-fill the hole. Use screws and screw gun to install 10' P.T. 2x6 for top rail. Following contour of the ground because there is a lot of elevation change along the front of the property. Eventually this will run down to our house.

The place I work has the threader...just happens to be the best one I've used.
The gas company was just too busy to show up today. They were at one job about a block away from HQ and we asked if they would be at the liquor store today. Everyone there had a good laugh and said "Nope". I think it's on the schedule for next week-1 1/4" piping currently; don't know if the new meter will be same size or higher pressure or even the location of it!
