    Road trip today. Off to CT for a busy end of the week.

    This weekend is the start of the Covered Bridge Festival. Our whole county turns into a gigantic yard sale and traffic paralyzes everything. They close the schools because they can't get busses down our cow-path backroads with all the touristy folks. There used to be a lot of nice hand-made stuff, but for the most part it is a big flea market now. Anyway, this time I'm not already looking forward to coming home.

    Another load of hard maple yesterday evening! Sure is good collecting (sp. scrounging) this past week-roads are dry, weather cool, 99 said to start bringing smaller pieces home!!? These are cut offs of the loggers and right now, the getting is good.

    Looks like we are getting some asphalt as we speak. Think they need a supervisor?

    Don't you just love that sugar rush kids get with ice cream!!!! especially just before bed. Oh well, it doesn't happen all the time. I do it to myself sometimes and then lay there and think :doh: I should know better.

    It's gonna get hotter over the next few days here cuz we just put all of the air conditioners away. Then, while I was in the basement I decided to load a bunch of old twisted 2x4s out of the Bilco door for the firepit. Now, it's time to whine about my back while I have lunch... :whistle::D
