There was nice temps here again today. I tried to enjoy yesterday and today outside as much as possible. Did some cleaning up around the house with the Bobcat and plow, then bucket to try to scrape down a couple areas. Friggin ice is nasty. This winter is shaping up to be just like some were saying. A winter like they use to be. Except if this keeps up it is going to be particularly nasty.

Anywho, I replaced the a diffierent hydraulic fitting like the one I did before on the plow I bought for the Bobcat. Was getting a slight leaking from that one, so I replaced the 1/4" threaded nipple and street L, and applied a generous amount of thread tape and she is good to go. The plow turns like a champ and no leaking. Moved some things around in the detached garage to organize a little bit. Felt great to work outside again. I have basically been inside for three days before this weekend. The temps were below zero for three days in a row and the wind was blowing. Dam. So I started the old Ford up and brought it outside of the garage and let it run for about 15 minutes. Just to charge the battery up and make sure she was ready to go.

If you have flu, stay home until you are not contagious. Remember, real flu is respiratory. So many things called flu which really isn't flu, (influenza) Big problem with flu is that you are weakened and get secondary infections that may be bacterial.

I just ventured outside to run a few things up to the neighbor's house on the quad. First, the snow drifts are big. The quad about didn't make it through a few places...snow was coming up to the front racks. Second, it is STUPID cold outside (like you have to be stupid to go outside...guilty). Our road runs east-west and has about 18" of snow on it...even if they did plow it, it would blow back shut in a few hours.

Right now it is 12 f with a strong NW wind and is supposed to drop down to -24 tonight. Tell me winter dosen't suck......................................LOL We currently have about 2 1/2 feet of snow in the bush. So much for cutting in there.

Who says an old defiant can't keep up? Just need some humidity now.

IMAG0237.jpg Stuck at home. Road not plowed once. 16"+ with huge drifts over 42" and counting. I can't get out anymore even with 4 x 4. I really should have went to the store yesterday. I got 10 beers, and little food. I'll be able to eat out of the cupboards, but probably no standard meals. It's just me here, I'll survive.

I could use some humidity too, but when the dew point is -20* its an uphill battle.

That's like 3-5 hours worth when stranded at home. Please don't tell Will how low my stash is. The gf left some wine, if it gets bad I'll get into that.
