    Today this repurposed piece, made by my brother-in-law, was finished in the shop. He sourced the wood and I gave him some guidance on building and finishing it.

    The wood was salvaged from a local 1930's cottage undergoing renovations. The saw cuts, nails, bug holes and water stains were all left in place. The wood was brushed off and lightly sanded. It was finished in two coats of satin poly.

    We have the KC Air Show this weekend. Finally got to watch a bit of it today. Missed some good shot of theM passing over the house. So I moved down the road to the parking lot of the pub. The Blue Angels are in town for this year.

    An updated picture of our little get away last week. Very near to shopping and truck servicing but still in the woods. We didn't take any firewood with us as there has been a campfire ban for the last month. Two days before we got there, the ban was lifted. We didn't want to BUY firewood so didn't have a campfire.

    We are :sherlock: a dog fence like yours!! I have extra baby corrals from the woodstoves here (we dont need them now), and a few large run gates from our previous house. Should be interesting, thanks for the inspriation :)

    Does that fence go all the way around the r-pod?

    yes it does. It is five 3 ft high Exercise pens all hooked together. They fold up accordion style and store flat in the back of the truck. After trying to contain two dogs on extended leashed in a campsite a few years ago, our dog breeder gave this idea. Cricket is in the r-pod on the bed watching all the action.
