Watching American Ninja Warrior with my son right now. This is a difficult course! Not one of them has made it through yet. Not even to the second half of the course.

    finished a 7 day stretch, 4 off, then a 10 day followed by another vacation 11 days:thumbs:.
I don't want August to go by quickly but sometimes hitting the alarm clock with slow days at work during beautiful weather can be grueling.

Maybe the weather will be cooler come mid-late August to hoard some firewood, cause these mid 90's ain't cuttin'weather

That might make lazy but I hope not.

It won't. Cutting, splitting and stacking wood is too rewarding.

Think of the oil as a back up plan.

Finishing off the caffeine and then ready to go back in the woods behind the house. Started the area for the wife's future horses by beginning the trimming of all branches up high, removing all small saplings, bushes and dead trees. I am keeping any and all trees that are large enough, nice and straight, and are not too close to others I want to keep. So we will have a nice combination of deciduous and coniferous trees for shade and aesthetics. It is a going to be a big project and a lot of work. Wife is going to start taking some pictures today. I should have taken one before I started it yesterday. :emb:

yup she was helping.. on quick breakfast break trying to finish last corner door and stairs. Sooooo, much easier to build new versus rebuild bottom up. only gonna cost about 80 for lumber I did not have left over in garage. then on to French doors in 5th floor office but if it rains and I get help stove replacement. in living room... almost ready for summer to end to go back to work when school starts... try to only work minimum over summer as more time with munchkin.. As I have been busy outside she gets more mommy time. which is good until she decides to get 10 year old argumentative with mommy which means I will take her tomorrow and she can work.. banging nails out of wood nails go in bucket wood in burn pit. She knows it's coming. Dad made me do it. if you can hit bent nail pointy end out you can drive straight nail in no problem!

    pics tonight

Yup I should be cleaning up but wanted to get off my feet for a minute.. I can make a mess inside
    20150804_142641.jpg

    and out
    20150804_142703.jpg

but another day of window and screen building wife will have big windows so a partial finished. doors will clip into place and have screens inside of course yes porch/mudroom is off kitchen and gets morning sun so she wanted big windows. stairs and door are in.. so easier than jumping. the "windows" are sliding glass doors. that I used to get free taken out of frame so 36 x 77. basically outside wall in 2 feet were bad. Made it safe.. wife happy as long as I clean up before she gets home.. 20150804_142739.jpg

Door won't shut yet as I thought it was a 36 inch door measures out at 36.5 :hair: but I will just router the 4x4, a quarter inch and set latch!

That is a mix of rich, dark dirt and several piles of ashes from my winter burning that were dumped there in the winter time.

Spent a couple hours this morning on and off trying to explain the that falling off a bike won't make her little. Little one took a spill on her bike (she's fine). I told her that when mommy was a little girl I fell off my bike too. :picard:

I'm at $87 for 2x4 and 2x6s.. all rest had been stored on top of red barn as extras from projects. funny 2x6s and plywood all gone. what you think boys borrowed 4 years ago for jumps and last year's for hunting stands. But except for siding and set of stairs, for inside barn to loft my loft storage extras are gone! Next wife project gonna cost big time!!! Should have got extra deck screws cause I hate having square heads and torque on same deck.. off to make dinner and pick up...
