ok, honestly 2 drinks turned to probably 8 or 9 pic in morning... to do list just just got longer.... basically tee bar roof to support it and replace whole load bearing wall as it won't support snow this winter...
My man card took a serious beating today. I had a metal sliver in my thumb all day today. I used the usual implements to pick 'er out. Razor blade point, pocket knife, a few Leatherman tool points, nothing. I soaked it for an hour, used a needle to pick at it, no luck. The wife tells me to squeeze my thumb it and proceeds to pull it out on the first try...with these tweezers...
Some projects take too much time to do while I am working so time off means we can do things like this together. Summer is better for painting as you can have the windows open and use the hose outside to clean the brushes and rollers. I like to paint.
If the humidity is high, painting does become a problem. You can come here first and help hoard firewood.
I pilfered a cheap dissecting scope from work, it was on the discard pile, and a couple pair of fine forceps, gives a special sense of satisfaction pulling those stubborn minute but oh so annoying splinters.
Today I decided to rent a couple chairs and an umbrella from the lifeguard. Didn't really want to pay it, but oh so glad I did. $35 for the entire day. Worth every penny. Now I'm really relaxing! It's a little cooler today with some clouds and a beautiful breeze.
I got it pulled apart waiting for buddy to put in temporary supports there was wainscoting on bottom...
another pic cause it's hot 88 and fingers are sweaty that's a 6 inch screw driver in 4 X 4 post! I got WEAK wood!
