Don't get me going on AT&T! I ended up turning them over to the Public Service Commission over .17 ! They then said thar they had overcharged me 135.00 which they had not because I had to call them every month because they were charging me for 2 lines when I only had one!
I said fine send me the money and they did. Cancelled the landline the day I received the check.

Friday on Narragansett Beach with my wife's company, Citizens Bank. It's the Concert on the Beach which is the Boston Pops. Citizens Bank sponsors the event. Should be a great night.

 

Sounds like you went through something similar.

I moved from NC to VA, moved a landline so I'd have call forwarding. Was paying my bills and stopped one day thinking I had just paid AT&T last week, sure enough still getting a bill for the NC number 5 months later. After the run around with them telling me the records for the previous year were stored somewhere else - I told them to shut the line off and send me a refund.
Couple months later I get a collections notice for the old line - you talk about going through the roof

Made a pledge I would never give AT&T another dime

Had a Verizon cell at this point and when I moved to AL, there was limited reception at my house. I had a basic landline with Bellsouth, and got a Cingular phone because it was the only one with reception in my area - within a year AT&T bought out both Bellsouth and Cingular

So. How do I get beamed to the table at fishingpol 's for the meals again? And what kind of money do you accept Jon so that I can stay in the seat at the table longer? Scotty Overkill , when is Grizzly Adam going to develop this particular mode of FHC transportation? I will need the supercharged version because I need to know these things before the others so I can make sure to sample, test, and review all the Pizza, Bread, Calzones, etc. that Jon makes. I may be able to provide some home made spicy Tacoes and Chili on occasion.

 

I have been so busy I have not been able to keep up with anything at FHC. This place, and you people, are busy!

I'm happy with my att cellular service, it works everywhere I go.

I'm not happy with my uverse ( at&t) internet. It's slow and pricey, but the only other option is twc, which is at least fast, but I hate them.

Where we are, near the Canadian border, we use Verizon and have excellent reception and service.

 

Some of us are on holidays and spend most of their time cruising FHC. Five weeks left!!!

 

Already down to five weeks! We were just talking at the dinner table tonight how it is the almost the middle of July already. Time flies. My wife and kids are really enjoying their summer vacation! My sister is home from Redmond, Washington Woodwidow. She is a teacher's aid for pre-schoolers and is enjoying her summer vacation as well. She is working on her classes and is almost done her requirements to be certified to teach Pre-schoolers. This way she will be able to make more money while doing pretty much the same thing she is doing already! LOL

 

If I had Verizon, if have a phone that only worked 50% of the time I needed it.

If I were to switch, it would be to us cellular. That's the only one that works in enough spots I go.

 

It is so good here that we dropped our land line and just went to the cell alone. I liked having the land line for back up but did not like having the bills for both.

 

Congratulate me. I just resisted smores! My wife, sister, and 5 kids sat around the small propane fire table we have and cooked smores. It was tough, but I am losing a few pounds I gained over the winter. Waaaaaay to many slices of Pizza and Tacoes over the winter.

Ummm, I may have forgot to mention the Chili, Quesadillas, Lasagna, Fish Fry's, Nachos, Bacon Cheeseburgers, Sausage, Onion and Cheese Omelets, Ice Cream, Candy bars, chips and dip......... wait

 

My wife and I have not had a land line since she moved here in 04.

I personally haven't had a land line since I moved back from Maine to Wisconsin, in 01.

I really can't see any reason to get a land line either.
