Campinspecter did all the pitting and we canned 44 pints of sweet cherries after work today. there was a sale on BC cherries yesterday. This was after hoisting textbooks around all day at work. Think I am going to soak in the tub tonight.

I cleaned the back deck. Maybe I will get brownie points too :)

Amazing how much build up occured between the deck boards and especially over deck joists since last fall!

Recovering from helping a friend with his backyard pergola project after work yesterday, then getting a nice crate full of kindling and smaller splits together for my neighbor and his wife to fire up their pit (kiddies wanted s'mores last nite), they also had outdoor movie nite(same neighbors) which turned into the adults standing around the fire pit imbibing many beverages.... Hurting today
But I'm getting over it now!

Started to tackle some tree work around where I process. I started to take down and old dead elm. Got it topped before it started getting too warm.

The trunk should make for some nice firewood in a couple years. Nice size so it shouldn't split so bad....ha! Who am i fooling, I just said elm wouldn't split bad. :)

Trimmed up a bunch of branches to help some smaller trees grow. That and the elm filled my trailer pretty full.

I know what you guys are saying...."come on Schlot, can't you fill that trailer up any further.....stop kidding around man".

Total washout here today so I finally started the floor in our spare empty room. I think we picked up the wood back in December. I told my wife it really needed to acclimate:rofl: . Called it quits at a logical stopping point where there's gonna be some more difficult cutting. 20150627_113303.jpg 20150627_145928.jpg 20150627_182114.jpg

No, that was some old paint that we ended up not using. Had to touch up the baseboard heater with some white and decided to open a new can.

I made a short trip up the road to NH today to pick up a wooden flag sign. I ended up forging two hanging rings with straps to hold it up. It is an awesome piece from an excellent signmaker.

I wore my FHC shirt and he showed me his 20 cord pile. We talked wood stoves for a few minutes.
