Here is our dinner view at sunset from the lobster house. A nice steady breeze from across the water. Absolutely perfect weather.

thanks stinny, but as I see it we are lucky to have him. if you take the long view a lot of people worry about clothes cars etc,, what really matters in 100 years.. cars will be gone, clothes will start to come back in style and I will have departed this world.. what is a legacy except helping the future generations learn how to live.. OK way too deep for a bull thread

yeah I will put some praying time in for him..

I just had a good idea, can't believe I did not think of it earlier. Just texted my handy man if he is interested in selling the wooden shed, he keeps the money, and deals with craigslist people.:rootintootin:

Took the boat out with some friends and spent the evening on the river. It was baby pineys' first boat ride and she loved it. This kid LOVES the water.

Shrimp questions for the Mainers or anyone familiar with N E seafood. When I have ordered fried shrimp plates around here for years, it has always been called "native shrimp" or "baby Maine shrimp." Meaning from Maine waters. Now it is called "gulf shrimp." Is this the same thing in a more p.c. world or is it from another location? I've read that the shrimp season is closed in Maine waters.

When you get suspenders as gifts, that means people don't want to see plumbers crack anymore. o_O

I gave my dad a pair of suspenders.

Interesting, there was a truck on Dateline tonight, same year as my Blazer, and same gear shifter. Dateline called it "custom". I thought granny, 1-3 and R were normal back then? Weird to see my front end on a different truck, don't see them much.

Sometimes called "popcorn shrimp" cause they are about the same size as a piece of popcorn. Love em can't get enough of em, much prefer them to the larger Gulf shrimp. Scampi over linguini with them is fantastic, stab a few and twirl on some pasta, perfect. The fishery in Maine has been severely restricted or canceled in the past few years. I think Canada is still fishing them.

I would guess that they are a different species than the Gulf shrimp, cold water shrimp vs. warm water.
