Second and last day of work for this week. Then vacation time with wife and kids. Going to relax a little here and there, play with the kids and their toys, and play (I mean work) with my gear on getting some wood out of the woods. If I can get around in this slippery chitty snow. Crystalized snow on top of a thick layer of ice, on top of snow. Maybe I just better stay out of the woods until conditions are better.

Bummer saves. Do you have any idea of how long it will be before they restore power to you?

I'm not ashamed to say I lost quite a few fights with the captain in my day. He always kicked my butt!

LOL. Good times! Now it takes to long to recover and you realize better times are only going about half that distance and then going to bed!

Getting some caffeine in me now, this morning it is in the form of V8 fushion energy drink in a small can. Pretty tasty and has some real juice and green tea. And enough caffeine to get me going. Soon I will be heading out to start the Bobcat up. I had to take the plow off the Bobcat yesterday morning before work and put the bucket on. The camp road was so slippery, and the layer of ice on top of the snow so hard that when trying to plow it the machine would start sliding to one side or the other if the plow was angled. If I put the plow strait it could only plow it for a few feet and then would start spinning. So I tried it with the bucket so I could really bust the ice up and then deposit it on the side of the road. Worked good, but I had to go to work. So now it is time to take my time this morning and do the rest of the road. It is kind of a long road so it will take a while. Then I need to move the snow banks back with the bucket because they are starting to build up already and it is only Christmas time! Plus we have a lot of family coming for Christmas Eve party tonight and need the room for parking. After this is done I have a couple kids I need to run to the store for a little last minute shopping. Holy chit. I have to wrap my wife's presents sometime too. :emb:

The work for today; clean the downed branches up that are blocking a few trails to the wood stacks, once that is done maybe some burning in the fireplace.

    Quite the list today
    • Register the snowmobiles
    • Replace the 10 year old battery in the Tundra
    • Change the oil in my daughter's car
    • Clean the garage
    • Put the plow truck on the charger and pray that the battery takes the charge
    • Get a new spark plug for the chainsaw
