Lots of branches down. More falling all the time. Not really supposed to warm up, so it may be here for a bit.

It is a real mess here. But we did not lose power. Yet. More ice today from what they say.

Eastern Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes are all covered with ice and flights out of BC are cancelled and delayed. I hope everyone gets through this unscathed. We have 5 C (41 F) temps and rain coming down.

Just got back to the house. Shoveled off snow from my neighbor & 2 aunts. Need to get fire started to warm up & dry off. It's sitting at 23 degrees suppose to dip to 7 over night. Then get to 13 tomorrow. Then -4 on Tuesday morning. The ol' 30 will be churning and burning.

image.jpg Just got done straightening up the mess that is the dining room corner. Big plant stand full of herbs in front of the window, end table full of board games on adjoining wall, and a lot of tools and supplies from various projects shoved in between. The plants were suffering because of it.
Swapped stuffed around, added another plant hanger, cleaned off upstairs bookshelf last week and the games went on it, tools and chargers went in the end table and one small "upstairs" tool box that is hiding beside it. All the other materials got put away not that those projects are done and I'm not starting any new til after the holidays.

We are renovating today so the living has ladders and tools everywhere. The utility room has a cupboard down and drywalling going on. I am making bread and wrapping presents between holding the light for the workman doing the real work. Gotta take time though for checking out Firewoodhoarders Club. It is better than Facebook except for none of my grandchildren pictures.

That wall behind the plant stand is going to become a half wall going into the kitchen. Got to level the floor out some first, old house is a bit saggy. Old lady is too, but not too bad yet. I'm going to go hide the cast iron on the off chance she reads this.

Skipping work today. Exhaust rotted off truck yesterday. Been coming for a couple weeks, but was hoping it would last a bit longer.

It did sound cool yesterday when I was yanking 2 F-350's stuck to the axles in mud and snow. Amazing how easy it is with 90' of 3" strap. Made a believer out of both of them.

He tried to pay me, but I declined. I just said " it's always a pleasure to pull a Ford out of the mud with my GMC." :p

Well I'm sharpening some chains for the lineman from Ohio today and mine. These guys haven't slept in a few days and look it. My work is out of power today as well so I get to set home unpaid BALLS! On the bright side I can help out these guys and get to meet some cool dudes...
