Just had a heavy downpour for about 20 minutes. Grass ought to be up to the eaves by tomorrow morning... o_O

I've mowed the lawn twice so far this year. The blades on the lawn tractor need sharpening, but they are not too bad. That'll wait another week or so.

The wife got the rest of the weed and feed on the lawn so, hopefully the dandelions will be short lived.

After reading this post of mine again, I meant she buys only good smelling candles. The obnoxious smelling ones get relegated to the bathroom under sink storage for bathroom use, or use in case the power goes out.

I keep a Coleman white gas lantern, a couple flashlights, and my phone handy in case the power lines go down on storms.

Horkn I think you know where I'm coming from - candles all over the place, if I need light when the power goes out those suckers are getting lit;) decorative or not
yeah I have backups but why would you leave a dust collecting candle on a shelf for years and never burn it?

She's a pyro. There's no such thing as a decorative candle in this house.

I was able to get to my satellite wood lot today. Brought back a load of 2 yr seasoned splits and tomorrow the wheelbarrow and I have a date. I should be able to stack close to a cord before noon. After that the mower gets an oil change and a blade sharpening.

The few candles I have bought over the years did not last long. My hubby pyro liked to stash them in his "electricity power outage" box   Though he is a pyro too:rofl:

I've actually considered putting a LED bar across the front of it.

I passed one of these buried up to the frame on the way to work. It didn't look like it was going to be fun to get out.
