Ouch...it's that time of year when you see senseless accidents, careless driving and unfortunately people get hurt.

Apparently they used the foam to kill the bees as first responders couldn't do their jobs because they were getting stung. The yahoo link I saw this am said that, and also that they recovered as many bees as they could before the foam was used.

I'm pretty sure that RAM truck and trailer is one I see making firewood just up the road from that big house in the picture. The truck usually parks just north of where the accident happened, and he had probably pulled out into the road, and was getting up to speed (50 mph there) when the minivan hit the trailer, from behind from what I can tell.

Dumb question, what if they just let the bees disperse naturally? With the proclaimed bee shortage going on, it would've been a boon to that specific area...

Not sure they would survive without a queen. Even if they found another hive they may not be welcomed.

Yeah, just like the rest of us! Maybe would've been worth a shot though. Wasn't the queen included with them?

Haha! I wish 350's are good engines.. it's outta my 87 k20 parts truck. I'm selling it because it's got very low mileage and runs good.
