Wind chill here is cold. But not that cold. It is about 18 right now. So it is not bad, until the wind blows. Which is pretty regular.

Sitting with my feet up on my desk, researching different types of cheese I can make with a couple extra gallons of milk.

Well, I forgot to take pics. We ended up only being there a couple hours. Not much has changed beyond the framing being done. Some rough mechanical is done now. Tried to set one window. This is the third time they sent out the wrong one. Can't reframe it to fit as the window was 15" wider than the wall it goes in. Nothing new, but frustrating none the less. 57 mile drive to work today. Can't wait to be done in the city. $250/week in gas really eats into the paycheck.

That is a long drive to work Pyro. I use to drive 44 miles each way to work for 7 1/2 years straight. I was glad when that was over. Time for me to bring some more wood in soon. And start coffee for the wife and breakfast for the wife and kids.

Trying to fly home today. Was greeted by 4 heavy rescue trucks following us down the runway...fire crew jumps out in full gear and starts dragging hoses. The fire suppression in the cargo bay deployed during flight. Everything was fine...no fire. Stuck in Pittsburgh for a while.

Tonight is the big game-- Iowa vs Iowa State in men's basketball. First time since '87 both teams have been ranked for the showdown.

Friday afternoon, 2 stove day, 28'F outside, and 75 inside, but it was 7'F at 7:00AM this morning. Cold overcast quiet day.

I'm stranded at home tending the stoves due to having the Envoy in the shop getting new rear brakes, and I think I might have a broken shock back there too. So, anyway, it's a 2 stove day and I've got the Fireview in the living room cruising on some nice meaty 2 year old oak splits. The Resolute in the family room downstairs is cranking along on uglies that I have in a separate stack, So I've got 70K BTU just chugging along and I'm watching Steve McQueen and The Cincinnati Kid. What a great classic movie; 1965 it takes place in New Orleans. Steve is the upcoming new gambler and he's got to beat The Man, played by Edward G. Robinson. Ann Margret is at her sexiest best! Great flick!

Could be, it's an 05 with 100K on the clock and I used to move all my wood with so it's taken some towing weight over some rough terrain.
