It comes from the old saying the miners used. There was a special mining car called the honey wagon. It was used as a toilet. The phrase " you're pulling my chain" came from pranksters messing with someone messing with the person using the honey wagon.

Local plumbing/heating contractor truck pulled into my drive this morning, dogs going nuts, guy is just standing there in my dooryard staring at my 20 cords. I go out to ask what's up, his face is all screwed up with confusion, he asks "you got a heat problem?" He was looking for my neighbor.

not really big on my having a bad day, but. Wed. was hit with severe shooting hip, butt ,and leg pain. could only walk in baby steps. off to the er to find arthritis in hips. I was lucky enough to get an ortho. appt. yesterday and have found my hips are in much better shape than my back. advanced \degenerative disc disease and arthritis. almost wish it were my hips as you can fix'em. we all know someone with a bad back?
really don't want that type of pain to come back again, but geez you gotta live. with this kind of thing it could pop up anytime. right now the wife won't even let me go to the garage to bring in small loads of wood for the stove. she and my mom in law witness several bouts with this thing. at any rate shooting pain free for almost 24 hrs. that is with 800 mg ibupro. 3x a day. sorry to pass on a tale of woe. positive aspects in and out of er in less than 3hrs and diagnosed in less than 24hrs. have a day, mine is really better.

I am so sorry to hear that. I heard someone with chronic neck pain tell me once she staggered her ibu doses. Instead of every 8 hours she took 400 mg every 4 hours, she said it helped her pain. Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear about this Doug. Can relate... to all of it... right down to the Ibu. There just isn't one thing good about it. I've finally learned when to back-off with stuff that I never even gave a second thought to, a few years ago... :headbang: Hope you can stay ahead of that pain.

I am so gun shy of the pain I felt. I'm afraid to do anything. Was it Carly Simon . hate the feeling it's coming on again. thanks for the thought.

I just got the dreaded call from my wife, our daughter was in an accident. Her boyfriend was driving and they skidded into a snow bank, no damage until a CRV plowed into them, then a Prius hit both cars. Thankfully no one was hurt, but their car was totaled after the last car hit it. It doesn't get easier even when they grow up.

Cars can be replaced. Thank God they are okay.......and you are right, it is the dreaded phone call. Years ago when I was a LEO, I had to make notifications in person. Not pleasant at all.
