Got the bills paid and mailed out. And the pellet stove at camp cleaned out and re-lit. Then breakfast was three pumpernickel toast with peanut butter and honey on them. Delicious.

Just got back with Lilly. I already had to replace the gauze from where the IV went. She was excited enough that the blood was flowing. Got the other dog outside with me to try to allow her to rest a bit. But as far as her health. It's upto her will to live. It's terminal. The ovaries are attached to her Kidneys and infected. Thusly why her kidney numbers were so high and they probably won't come down. So we will see, she's been a very strong to this point. As long as she's still happy and free willing will take it one day at a time.

Oh yeah, that big ash limb that I took down a week or so ago now has me remembering that I need to dispose of all the twigs and small branches from the yard.

Our town will pick them up, and grind them up, for $35 the first half hour, $1.50 each additional minute. That's not happening.

Our town refuse center doesn't take woody biomass. But our neighboring town does. So that's not an option.

Looks like I need to just cut up all the branches and burn them in the barrel. Ash trees have a ton of small twigs. So it's not going to be easy like most trees would be.

Not close enough to make it worthwhile.

This is where a small chipper could come in handy. I have 2 big mulched areas that need more mulch too.

Kids fever have broken but still on the mend. We did get out for a bit this morning to go to the library and take them out for a sandwich. Driving around in the rain today is the closet thing to a car wash the truck has seen since October. I almost forgot it was blue ;)

back home this afternoon it was a great rainy day to light up the old fireplace and veg out watching movies with the kiddos. Saw Big Hero 6 ... cute animated kids flick.

So I took care of those ash branches.

Grabbed my old man sippy stein filled with Point Brewery IPA, the hand saw, a cooler to sit on, a rubbermaid tub, and rose/twig clippers and went to town.

The wife burned all the pieces in the outdoor fire pit.

    Done.

I only fell off the cooler once, onto my butt, and nobody saw it. So that didn't happen. My sippie stein beer mug didn't lose a drop.

Went to a Lego show with my son today. I couldn't help but feel woefully ineccentric compared to some of the other adults there.
