Getting ready to leave the KC auto show... I help my friend every year to drive a vehicle back. I usually get some small ford car. But this year I got the big block on wheels...

Good morning, mid 30's sunshine and coffee is on.
Might hit 50 today with a chance of rain pretty much on and off most of the week, possibly,,maybe.
Lots of soft ground, snow melt..I will probably fetch a truckload of gravel for here and there.
I had tore the old clapped out gutter off the back of this place and re-did the facia/soffit but never put a new gutter on,,shame on me, wrong time of the year to be without a gutter!!
I have to wonder if a fella couldn't shouldn't try and catch a fish,,,,

Got called in to work for a couple weeks! No, not what you think...boss is just taking some time off before he closes the business.
With the above freezing temps here, I hope the basement doesn't start flooding while I'm gone to work.

My friends in Maine are very nervous about flooding in later winter early spring. Two of the families are going on an April vacation Disney cruise with us, and they vowed not worry about the possibility of flooding. I think that is going to be a next to impossible task for them. With over 6' of actual depth and piles well over 15', the chances of them not getting flooding is maybe 1%.

Gonna be an interesting spring. Ole Ma Nature has a way of taking care of things her own way. She could decide to be a beochee and pour hard rains down on us which really wouldn't be good. Or, she can keep doing what she's doing the first 3 days of this week and give us sunny days around 40-45 and nights in the teens. As I said... gonna be interesting in Maine.

Turned out really nice today, high of 45 and alot of sunshine this afternoon. Worked 4 hrs at construction and came home to tidy up the ice at the house. Chipped some chunks in the driveway and shoveled some snow from the wood stacks. It looks like I'm gonna need just a little bit more to get through the season. Fingers crossed for 50 on thurs. :)

Awesome day here today in the 40's and sunny. Scrapped some of the hard pac off the driveway, moved some wood around and even opened the garage doors and fired up the Goldwing. She's been asleep since November. Sounded great although it'll be weeks before we can hit the road again. Have a bus charter tomorrow to take the forestry program students from the college up to a provincial park for and exercise tomorrow. Supposed to be another great weather day.

Yeah the weather is turning. For the first time in a month I got down to our club field yesterday to hang out for some flying. My buddy has been plowing his way in there after every storm to keep the road passable for 4x4s. This time he pulled in and the tire tracks where pure ice sheets and was slipping in 4, so he put on his chains and I decided to leave my truck out by the entrance lest I get stuck (no chains).

It was nice time though... Snowmobilers have been around though and really thrashed up the place. We dont mind so much but sometimes folks come out here with ski equipped airplanes and they wont be able to use the runway now.

If these temps hold a couple more weeks the road might melt clear.

Well, the basement is nice and dry just like it is supposed to be. All that means is that the frost in the ground hasn't thawed enough yet. That's good! Heard today at lunch that road limits will be set on the roads before the end of the week. That's good too.
Temp actually got up to 50f today! The roads are beginning to melt and get bare again!

You guys have been busy working and having fun, and even recouperating like me. Hope you feel better WW! And anyone else under the weather. (Oh, wait. That has been all of you the last two months!  The snow and cold!)

Not a lot going on here. Just getting done what needs to get done while recouping myself.

Yes its real. I clocked 58 down and 62 up. Verizon fiber. They offer speed tiers up to 500 now, if you are willing to pay $$$.

Benefits of living close to the city. OTOH I have no land and have to deal with all the traffic.

I'm 6.04 and yes, they consider it broadband up here too. One of the disadvantages of living in the country.

It is a tropical 39* this AM with a forecast high of 51. Looks like rain for most of the day, which should get rid of the rest of the snow...and really make things muddy.

Need to get a few more indoor projects knocked out because it won't be long before I'm going to be mowing and gardening.

Road trip tomorrow...couple 18 hour days in front of me. Good times.
