The report I read was from 09. With so many municipalities proactively cutting ash down, states raising awareness and making laws about not moving firewood, the supposed slow movement of these on their own, possible local wildlife finding EAB tasty, starvation from no other food source, and the biggest one, the trees natural defenses stepping in and finding a way to ward off these evil things, maybe just maybe we wont lose all the ash we have.

I'll keep spraying and praying for our few large ash on my home property. Ok, its spreading the granules, but I couldn't think of anything clever for that.

The worst part is these darn things came from a country that never treated their wood crates and pallets. Not until they were forced to at least.

I've seen some crazy hitchhikers over the years. Not any new ones, but there's a resident population of Chinese praying mantis around one of my former employer's facilities. Big guys too, I've got pictures of one that is a good 5" long.

Still windy as all get out! Tonight, -8 with 20-30mph winds. Now that's going to be interesting! Might have to use saran wrap on the house.

You just made me think about some of this siding I have seen they have that is insulated on the back side. I wonder how well it works. Sorta like when we go outside. The more layers the better.

There used to be a product called Reflectex that you'd wrap the house with before vinyl/? siding. You're right Gas, anything helps when the winds howl at below zero temps... :shiver:

Not sure if you are talking about house wrap or not. But we wrapped my whole house in it before the siding went on. It does breath but sheds moisture. I don't know if it helps at all against the wind though. The insulated siding looks interesting.

Insulated siding doesn't help with infiltration...that's what house wrap is for. The extra insulation on the siding seems like an expensive alternative to fan fold insulation if you ask me. It is probably to make it stronger if anything.

Remember, one AH CHIT wipes out 5 ATTABOYS in the big scheme of things. Not a good way to be while in the running for employee of the week. Worse if it was @ home and the wife is your immediate supervisor................... :rofl:

I do not own a tractor...,but, I have driven 'em with the two separate pedals-one for each side. Also has a bar that you can flip over and lock the two pedals together to act as one......
But, I'm sure by now I have figured out that you're just jerking my chain??:D
