Yes, the state sales tax of 6.25% applies when you buy the car. There is a mass gas tax, I looked it up its 24 cents per gallon.

Mass is often nicknamed "taxachusetts" but statistically we are only average when you look at combined sales and state/local income tax rates. We have no local sales taxes (which many states do, especially state with low or no income tax), and our income tax rate has actually come down in the years Ive lived here.

But our registration fee is only $50 every two years. Like I said they dont hide the tax in the fee like some states do.

So, like most places, another tax is a tax no matter what the color.

Went home to see Dad and Mom to work on their computer. Dad called this week and couldn't get logged in. Was wanting to throw away the computer... It kept coming up with "user profile server failed"... First time I've came across this. Got it up and running. Updated Antivirus and Malware. They should be fine for a while....

Today consisted of doing next to nothing. Trying to rest the back, went to my son's basketball game, visited my parents, took a little nappy wappy.

Also saw a Bald Eagle this morning. Majestic birds they are.... I actually had to take a second look. He was in the middle a field waiting for the crow to clear off the deer carcus...

Oh man. My wife made broiled haddock with a crumbly topping and home made macaroni and cheese and green beans.

It's okay. I'll be alright. I rolled to my chair and leaned allllll the way back. Remote in hand. Ice water on the table next to me.

I was lucky enough to have golden eagles at my previous home. They are amazing to watch them!

Yep, our taxes are bad here in Wisconsin. Is always been a top 5 taxed state. We don't have excise taxes on cars, but every car is $76 to register for the year, or more. Motorcycles were only like $24 for 2 years. Now its more for bikes.

Nearly completed my taxes today. A couple steps more and they'll be done.

OMG... for the first time in months I feel like a regular human being... That is I was actually able to do something other than shovel snow all day long!!!!!!
    :banana::dancer:

    Lets see where to start...

    • I snowblowed the driveway and it only took an hour!
    • Let the stove go cold and gave it a good cleaning.
    • We took the kids out for a ride and bought them a couple more fish for their new fish tank... 7 little swimmers now. One thing you cant beat about fish as pets... they are so cheap. 3 new fish... 3 dollars and 58 cents.
    • I finished and filed the taxes.
    • I got to sit and read the paper with morning coffee.
    • I went out sledding with the kids (every other time I missed that while shoveling)
    • I gave both cars the full once over - checked fluids, tires, gas up, and washed all the windows. clean windows!!!! OMG!!!!
    • I cleaned up and reorganized the garage.
    • I finally put no slip tape on the back door threshold
    • I straightened up the paperwork stack in the home office and got all the bills sorted.
    • We sat down and watched half of Empire Strikes Back with the kids.
    • I gave the steam boiler its monthly (blow down and check water level)
    • Cleaned and filled the humidifier.
    • And after dinner I even got a chance to spend some time in the shop working on hobby projects.. got the onboard generator installed on heli #2.

Stop it, you're making us less ambitious people look bad. ;)

Not all pet fish are cheap. Just wait until they get into the pricey fish tanks.

how is your tank doing with a bio wheel? I did not have luck with them previously, but that was a LONG time ago, maybe they work better now? What about you Horkn (know you have a wet dry but ever tried a biowheel?)?
