I love it! Soaking up all the heat.
Summer needs to go away and rain would be nice. I'm ready for fires in the stove and wood cutting.

Been a bit of a tradition to trek to the holy land for us during this weekend. :p Love it here. It’s a beautiful time to travel as the leaves are changing. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Makes me wish I invested in oil companies when I had thought about it.

Does everyone here remember that diesel always used to be lower priced than gasoline?

    Walleyes are biting again.

Set the minnow trap after church yesterday and will empty it this afternoon.

Very low water conditions currently. Those minnows should be grateful someone like me is thoughtful and caring enough to take the time and effort to relocate them to better conditions! :smoke:

    YES!
And it should be...takes less refining to make than it does gasoline! (Although modern diesel may take a lil more work than it used to)

Yes it now is ultra low sulfur caused the refining cost to increase

yes a diesel engine was more $$ but longevity and fuel saving were a calculation

well the math is getting easier

Husband is going to WI, I told him to ask for some. We've never had cheese curds, except when taking mark down cheese bricks out of our freezer lol.

Changed my oil tonight. That's normally the one job that goes pretty much 100% smoothly and predictably, but it turned into a nightmare. First, I had a brain freeze and set up for the old oil to pour out in a different direction than it actually does on that truck. Absolutely soaked my glove and had to drag the collection pan over in a hurry. Then I had some trouble getting the filter off (that much didn't shock me, I need to get more/better wrenches pronto).
Finally got it off, only to have to reuse the old filter, didn't like doing it but the new one just wouldn't go on, guess the thread is defective. That's when I couldn't just laugh it off anymore.
Went to fill the new oil, spilled some, couldn't seem to keep the bottle and funnel straight. Went to bottle the old oil, and the drain on my collection pan was plugged.

I'm honestly rather pizzed off, I can't believe Murphy's law crammed that many petty little problems into a friggin oil change. And the filter was a waste of $13.49 plus tax. I have another experience like that, and I might cut up my drivers license :hair:
