Just had to go out today....-10 on the car thermometer with winds of 10-15 mph. Figured it would be brutal. Don't know why, it actually wasn't as bad as I thought. Walking from parking lots to buildings into the wind, that is. Humidity must be up??

    +1, agreed...did that, and it's done.
Both my kids made their way on their own.

Woke up at 5 this morn, had plans on going to the gym and run some hoops with the men. Truck wouldn't start.
I said something like "F*$k! Went back to bed and just laid there thinking on what my day would be like now.
A new starter later and I'm back in business. Thank god for the decent day out today, 28 deg and slightly overcast.
Cleared some ice off the roofs and shoveled the driveway down to asphalt again.
I know it's 5pm somewhere, cracked open a Sam Adams Boston Lager to go with my lunch.

OK... here's my buddy and I after we tossed in some wood. Sun was really warm... took a vertical nap. (Most vertical splitter operators can do this...)

Just delivered a load of wood in near white out and below zero wind chills. The quad barely and I mean barely made it up the hill to their house.

Right where I want to be.
I do seated "vertical naps" all the time.
Never standing up though, as gravity tends to present itself at the most inopportune times.
I hate it when that happens.
Looks like you got the truck filled before the nap though, so that's gooder.

5 degrees outside as we walked out of the Ash Wednesday service, drove home in the frozen truck, opened the door and was greeted with a nice warm 78 degree house! :)

With everything going on, I finally lost the battle....I had to turn on the house heater for a while today... To get us back up to temp. But we are back up running with the wood stove. Time for bed...

Guessing the ground isn't frozen out there. I saw a big Ole tractor out yesterday. Not sure of the size but big, articulated and green.
