Snow day from work today. Got probably 6" or more of some fluffy, lake effect last night. Plus late yesterday afternoon they didn't have the last stuff scraped off the roads. Still coming down steady.

More plowing today. I got most everything around here cleaned up yesterday afternoon when the snow stopped. Went out and measured what was on top of the picnic table benches.

Well a 1 ft wooden ruler is pretty much gone.

Woke up several times last night and it was snowing. Got up this morning to what looks like more than 6" overnight.

Looks like there's about 18"+ here on the back patio.

The site was down again for over an hour just a bit ago. It seems to happen late afternoon/early evening eastern time. It's been going on for over a week. Is management aware this is going on?

In their defense, the lines are still buried under all the sleet/ice we got just after Christmas, plus the snow we have gotten since then on top of that. I don't think they could get them out if they wanted to. Might as well light them up - and keeps them from leaving the porch light on. Plus, they work lots of hours - plenty of days thier vehicles aren't there for 12 hours at a time.

OTOH, I noticed they just removed the Christmas tree from inside their house Saturday - I saw it on their front porch.

Finally got a package shipped ups and what do they do? They transfer it to USPS for final delivery. :hair:. Lord only knows when I might see it now. Add to that, after they picked the package up in Florida they had a mechanical failure that delayed delivery by at least one day right from the start. I truly don't understand. :(

The Amazon Prime delivery service started out really good. They are now competing with Fed Ex around here for crappy service.

The site was out again for about an hour a little while ago. Apparently it's no big deal.

Consistency seems to be a thing of the past. Not necessarily talking about this specific situation but in general. Just look at my posts about getting a package delivered. I only order from so many places and almost every time the delivery is different.

All one has to do is take a look around and actually remember things from the day, week, month before and it's not hard to find many inconsistencies. Just another thing I don't understand, I suppose.

Paying attention to one’s surroundings is no longer a thing for most.

Right! They'd rather have you be drugged up on prescription pills and just go with the flow. Wait.... most people are. It's ok though cause the doctor says these people need em.

Edit: I can't figure any other reason why so many people are in la la land.
