That's crazy! You would think the shots would send the third running away.

Every storm now has a dramatic name. It's a Bomb Cyclone, an Atmospheric River, etc etc.

That's a monster, no thanks! I'm packing the 44 at night, with specials, not mags.

Wife and I went out for dinner after work. It was fun and good. On the way home I found a pothole on a country Rd. No problem here but it was a pretty good jolt. I saw emergency flashers on ahead from a car. I stopped, put on my 4 ways to help make it obvious that there were cars on the road because there was nowhere else to go. A young woman in a Subaru hit the same pothole but her lower profile tires didn't take the jolt as well as my truck. She already had the car jack up, and 1 lug nut off, but they were on really tight. She couldn't get the rest off. I got the lug nuts off, took the wheel off and put the spare on. At least it had a spare.

She was almost there, but that factory tire iron was very short so I could see how some might not be able to loosen the lug nuts. The weather wasn't bad for mid January. Roads were dry and it could've been a lot worse.

As I was driving off after she was putting the jack in the trunk, her fiance arrived. All good.

I went into the town's FB page and told them about the massive pothole that they need to fix with a description of where it was, and a Google map screenshot with a pin dropped on the GPS location where the pothole was.

It's well used. Like it just needs some attention. That's the type of house we usually fall for. One project after another and after a few years it's transformed. As always, the area is beautiful.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Our Lab, Abby, had to be put down a couple years ago with the same cancer. We actually had it removed once and she got three good years before it came back.

My house needed a lot more attention than that when I started.

I use H&R Block tax software. I usually get some sort of coupon code from them so don't pay the full price. But, even if it was $45, much cheaper than a service. Next year I will probably have to go to an accountant as it will start getting more complicated than what I am used to.

Not that my MIL SIL will ever have to do it BUT the secret to that Subaru tire iron is step on it. Use your feet not hands..

I haven't had to do it very often, only once or twice in the early years of our marriage as campinspecter keeps the tires on the vehicles in good shape but standing on the tire iron was the only way to get the nut loosened.

That would help for someone that isn't as strong as some people.

I was happy that the Subaru at least had a spare and not just a can of fix a flat. I couldn't see what was wrong with the tire/ wheel, aside from it being off the bead on at least the outer bead. Hopefully it just popped the bead. It was a 55 mph country Rd.

Anyone needing your US passport renewed, do it online. I didn't pay for any expedited service, and I didn't pay the 22 bucks for expedited shipping and it arrived in just over a week. I got my picture taken on the 6th, I did the online application on the evening of the 6th, and it was just delivered. So 11 days including shipping from Arizona to WI. I'm pretty impressed.

What is odd to me is the house and chicken farm area are fenced in a less than 2ac area. The fence keeps their dogs from getting out. They can get through the fence if they are determined. This means the coyotes made a determined effort to get in. The chickens live in small sheds and each shed has a run with 6' fence and net covering the top. At night the chickens are locked in their sheds, not running around. I'm not sure what the coyotes were thinking?
