    Got nearly 1.5" of rain yesterday. Not nearly enough to bust the drought. But, at least most of it was slow so sunk
    Got nearly 1.5" of rain yesterday. Not nearly enough to bust the drought except maybe some relief in the D1 areas. We are anywhere from 7-12" behind. The top 0.5-1" of the soil may have a bit of moisture now, but below that is still bone dry. Drought map as of Wednesday (before the rain).

    I was always in a D1 area because of the lake but 6 inches of rain this week pretty much got us caught up. St Albans is actually above average for rain fall

    As I mentioned in another thread, the winds have been very still for us recently.

    It sure does make for quiet dog walks but kind of gives you an ominous feeling of things to come....:whistle:

    A little wood gathering of what i cut yesterday. My Stihl didn’t want to start yesterday, bu5 it reconsidered overnight and fired up today. Opening archery season today, so the barn is occupied with my brother and his friends. Wife went car shopping after her crash this week. Came home and made supper to keep me from getting grumpy.

    temperature is dropping to low forties. Only thing left is to top off the boiler. Playing on my Roku, i found a good outdoors channel on Tubi- Waypoint. Good deer hunting stuff at the moment.
