They are going bird hunting tomorrow, I put in a grocery store pickup for me to eat on while they're gone and make Kraut burgers. I forgot one item so texted him. Um, they went in for that item and left without my pick up order :picard:

Plenty of food here, I just have to cook more and..... He did get the butcher ground beef, endless possibilities.

Well I guess that's a matter of opinion, and you are entitled to it.

That generation with the flareside box is my dad's favorite truck, though with a straightside box he doesn't care for them nearly as much.

Nice. We had one that was quite similar except red. And not nearly as clean by the time I was done with it.

The first one I ever saw of that body style belonged to a lady at our church. She always wore dresses, and standing beside the truck with the flared out bottom panels the visual image was that she had on a dress and the truck had on a skirt. That image has stuck with me all these years and to this day those trucks still look to me like they're wearing skirts. LOL. I also don't like the fact that if you trade the stock bed for a flat bed, the back of the cab looks terribly deformed.

BUT, I will have to agree that that particular one is very clean and well kept. Nice to see something that age that's not eaten up with rust.

I think that Dad's was even the same color as the one you posted.

Exactly like this, except the steps/ running boards. Island Blue metallic , 5.4, lariat, supercab, off road package, same 17" rims. Screenshot_20251029-061807.png

I had too many close calls with deer.

Once, when the shoulders of highways weren't paved but were gravel, a deer ran across in front of me and the mud kicked up from it hooves (when it hit the gravel shoulder) landed on my face.

Looks nice to me! I very much dislike the fords with the step down in the drivers windows.

I've laughed so hard about this a couple times now, to the point my cheeks hurt, can't breath and eyes tearing. Husband took me to urgent care on Sunday, we were put in an exam room on the other side of the building than we know. When done we walked out talking, then stood in hall looking for an exit sign. I saw one on the far end of the hall, turned to walk towards it, he saw me turn and mistook I was going into the door next to my room that was an occupied exam room and turned the knob. Our young sweet and quite Jewish nurse walked out about the same time down the hallway and came running and panicked. Rushing towards us ushing us in other direction while saying, "no, what are you doing?, No. No, no, no, no. There's a patient in there", mind you can imagine her ethnic hand gestures and tone of voice etc. It was like she was rounding up some confused old lost rowdy people that don't move very fast   She was a bit annoyed as she got us out the correct exit door. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

I bought it new. It should serve my needs for the rest of my pickup driving days if I keep the rust off it.
