Little bit of snow clearing today in North Central Mass. We have had 3 major storms all more than 18 inches in the last 2 weeks.

Got a little snow. Here's some pics of snow clearing today. I also am posting a pic of freeing my motorcycle trailer for a trip out to Little Chute Wisconsin to have some motor work done on the Harley.

Off tomorrow Loon, 1st time in a week. They wanted me to take a bus charter to Ottawa tomorrow, I declined. Gotta train myself to be the one setting a schedule.

It is getting a little old. The poor folks down nearer Boston have no place to put it and not place to park.
So sick of it. I'm heading down to Fort Meyers for a couple of Red Sox Spring Training games in mid March. via Key West, with stops in Nashville and at Monticello on the way home.

What's in Little Chute? All I know is that it is a small town near Appleton.

What a difference 24 hours can make.

The potential blizzard Thursday has been downgrade to a dusting.
The leaks , thought not stopped, at least are not getting worse.
The Mrs. went out and bought 100lb of rock salt for me while I was stuck at the office all day.

So hopefully it holds together till the weekend when I can really attack the snow and start breaking up that ice dam.

In other news, some might remember a while back I mentioned I had a big presentation to the big wigs coming up at work.. Well that was today, and went off quite successfully I think. But now I'm on the hook to come back every 3 months and report progress against the pitch I made... so the real work starts.

Overall, Im in a much happier place than I was yesterday... but I know lots of folks around here are still struggling.

You shouldn't use rock salt for ice dam clearing. Use calcium chloride instead. Rock salt is tough on your roof.

Calcium chloride is what I was using but ran out... I asked the mrs to see if she could find more ice melt during hte day and the rock salt was what she found... I thought they both where somewhat corrosive?

All I've seen is that rock salt or nacl is corrosive, not cacl calcium chloride. This old house's site says to use calcium chloride. http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/m/skill-builder/0,,211604,00.html

The Ariens has a lot of torque. I think it's 8hp, not too much really, but it doesn't quit and has lot's of grunt.

One of the best Harley Engine building shops in the US.

I'm getting a 107" kit. Thing is going to build major power.
