They wouldn't have customers if they cured us.

That's what I'm saying. They make more money under the current circumstances. We all pretty much know that big pharma is corrupt, but I submit that the medical community is profiting as well from not curing anything.

And the worst part is they are all getting federal money without results.

I installed fiberglass insulation in 2 of the shop walls today...12 rolls worth. I'm itchy.

Went to put some OSB up afterward and most of the studs are about 1.5" out of plumb over the 9' wall height....so the top of the board is on one side of the stud and the bottom is on the other. I guess the only thing I can do now is cut an angle on the bottom and put up some trim along the top....or vice versa.

Gong to pour myself a drink and come up with some strategery on what to do now.

Once the OSB is on 2 walls I can move everything in the shop over to the other side and start all over again. I wonder what surprises it has in store.

I agree, plus a good use of space. How is the view out that window?

The dryer vent partially clogged a couple days ago. I cleared it out the best I could, but it is made of that semi rigid expanding aluminum stuff. Almost impossible to run a brush through it especially with the lack of hangers keeping it in place. Replacing it with sheet metal ducting just got moved to the today list. What a job, everything was fighting me. I barely fit in this part of the crawl space. The ducting had to avoid a gas line hung 4" below the joists (because why not?), ABS sewer line and several copper water lines. What should have taken an hour took all day. I'm also covered in bruises, cuts and scrapes from all the broken up concrete that was strewn on the ground in that area. I don't drink anymore so I had a Dr Pepper instead. :picard:

Hmm.....maybe hang the OSB sideways? You know, 4' high by 9' long? Then, since the vertical seams would not quite line up, you could cover them with a furring strip?

BTW, how did the "talk with the GC" go about those studs not being plumb???

    :D

lukem is it’s exactly 1.5” and it’s all the studs A rookie nailed on wrong side of the line. Let GC know. How much sheeting and siding from outside missed the studs? That’s when you usually find it

Well, this thing was built 60+ years ago so the GC is probably in the ground. The studs are about 1/4 bubble out of plumb...I'm pretty sure the whole building is leaning to the north. When they put the outside sheeting on they used a bunch of scabs.

I went out for a little bit this morning and trimmed 3/4" to nothing off of opposite corners and they fit good. Just need to add a trim piece to the top to cover the gap.

That stomach virus showed back up over the weekend. I think my body purged all the poison this time. Hopefully I'm on the road to 100%
