Gasifier man dont worry I dont hate runners or anything... its just like so many folks are struggling and this guy is out there like nothing happened it just sets ya off.

Maybe call it jealousy that this guy doesn't let anything keep him down if that makes you feel better.

And dont you guys worry, I'm not really going to go throw myself in front of a bus... its just venting.

I made it to the office today, Ive got rock salt working on the ice and my wife drove around to find me two more 50lb bags while im at work... Ive got the appliance repair guy coming tomorrow to fix the oven and my pest control company coming Thu to evaluate the ants. This weekend Ill spend a day snowblowing the lawn to make room to clear more off the roof. When it all melts if I need to I'll get the roofers out to check for damage. Buddy of mine who is a carpenter offered to lend me his portable scaffold next summer for a few weeks so I can start the exterior repaint, so if I need to do any repair around the soffits from water damage that will help.

Its all solvable... its just frustrating when everything happens at once and I knew you guys would appreciate the feeling......

I've got far more to do that any man will ever live long enough to get thru. I'm just gonna live one day at a time though......do what I can with this day. We can't change yesterday, and have zero control over tomorrow.......so let's never waste this day by worrying about the past, or the future.

Like eatonpcat said the runner beat the chit outta the guy that hit him. No cops called and I think the old bastage learned his lesson.

Our last home was in the middle of "outdoor recreation" mecca...Lots of bicyclists and runners to navigate. Some obeyed the rules, and some didn't, putting us and them in danger. Add into the mix it's a college town with inexperienced young drivers, spooky combination :picard:

Used to work with a guy that did something like that. There was a run of about 40 miles (a bit less) with one stretch that was on a gravel road..about 3/4 mile or so. About 27-28 miles into the race. The run was in the part of summer that usually has little rain and high temps. The road was VERY dry and very dusty. He told me as he was driving down the road and saw the runners, he accelerated to create large amounts of dust...literally a "brown out". Must've made a lot of friends....

Around here runners are very smart about staying safe on roadsides. Now, the bicyclists are generally pretty smart too, but you get the guys that like to ride side by side on narrow scenic 2 lane roads with at best a foot of gravel after the white line( and edge of paved road). The mtn bike guys have no issue with riding on the gravel, but the roadbiker tour de France guys won't ride off the paved road, and then do the side by side dumb thing.

I get it, I ride bikes, used to ride a ton. But when guys pull out when a car is behind them to ride side by side with no regard for their or anyone else's safety it's dumb. As motorists we have to give them 3 feet when passing them, but they have to ride single file too. Our main road that connects to my cul de sac now has signs to tell bicyclists that the must ride single file as it's become an issue.

Whenever I see bicyclists riding side by side on these roads with signs saying they have to ride single file, I yell at them "single file" as I pass them. Keep in mind its only ever the hardcore spandex racer types that ride side by side, so they know better. All it will take is one bad accident and it will be all over the news.

Sorry to get people fired up was just trying to be funny!!Don't have much problems with runners out here, but do with bikes.I work funraisers(tour de cure, etc) and 40% of the people that ride in these are idiots,to the point several get ticketed by the cops every year.
