The day job is done. Time to head outside and get some unpaid work done.

Pretty hot out there today. I got the ceiling fans on the porch installed today. Not real happy with the amount of air they move, but I own them now and it is what it is. I might have to upgrade somewhere down the line.

This is the first weekend in I can't remember how long where I don't have to do anything or be anywhere. I might haul the tractor out to the property and do some food plot work Saturday....probably fire up the smoker on Sunday.

Guess I will have to get a dash cam. xyz tail gators then charge around pull in front and slam on breaks. stinking little car rush hour traffic limit 70mph and I at 72/73. ya know that 9500 lb, not counting fuel, doesn't stop on a flippin dime. These idiots are getting out of hand.

I've been using the Rove for around 6 months. Not perfect but seems pretty good at a fair price. Picked up a second to put in my personal F250 but not installed yet.

It's that stage of life where you relax now.

Let your neighbors know, too. Maybe they will pitch in for you like you always did for them.

Mowed the yard, picked the onions and got them stored, cut up a bunch of lumber scraps for fit pit kindling, and got 2 pallets of sawmill scraps cut to firewood size.

Sitting down and cooling off for a few minutes trying to decide what to do next.

I woke up, cut the neighbors Norway maple that had it's last big branch fall over a could weeks ago. There's some usable wood in it. Went out and bought a new spare rim for my big boat trailer off of FB marketplace, came back, water my truck, waxed the truck and even did a pretty full detail on the interior. Then cooked my semi famous ork ribs, washed and hull cleaned the big boat, then started up the tractor and hauled the neighbors maple away, branches and all.
It's pretty sticky out, especially if you're working.

Going out on the boat tomorrow.

Yeah, yesterday was miserable with the mugginess. Even if I had a riding lawn mower, I wouldn't have mowed. Finally got a short break as a thunderstorm came rolling thru that lasted about 10 minutes and dumped 1/2" of rain. But then once it was done the temp climbed right back up and was super muggy again.

One cell got stuck over a town not too far from me and they got nearly 6" of rain in just a few hours. Roads washed out and they had flash flood alerts

My town's Summer-fest has been going on since Thursday. Woke up at 10 last night to the sound of fireworks so I went out to watch them since I can see higher ones from my front yard. So glad I have cats, none of the freak out over the noise even though I am pretty close to where they are set off.
