In a couple weeks I have an Amish crew coming to build a porch and put new metal siding on my shop. I'm stripping the old aluminum siding and get few other things before they get here. After I pulled off some siding I realized the sill plate on the east wall is nearly gone. Not going to be a fun job to fix. The good news is I should be able to get the old board out with a leaf blower (it's that bad).

We have 5 rescue cats that live in barn and on property around house and barn. No rodents around. The snake thing would not go over well here. Don’t mind them away from barn and house.

Good you caught it before the trip. That could have been a huge mess. I've been slowly replacing things on our well/tank/pump system much like this.

That's a good feeling. This place was on a steel tank that was rusting inside and causing rust stains in the toilets and sinks. The boost pump was a Harbor Freight special and very noisy. The yard irrigation was separate from the boost pump. Now we have two 3500 gal poly tanks up the hill from the house and the boost pump sits inside one of the tanks. We have a drafting hydrant attached to the tanks for fire. Everything runs off the tanks now. It has been a five year project tackling one piece at a time.

The :makeitrain"that I spend on home improvement, and property maintenance is terrible. Add in taxes. :emptywallet:Then add in probably the biggest thing, the amount of time to do the maintenance, improvements, and the time it takes to make the money to pay for it all. o_O Makes you wonder if it’s worth owning.

If he was a black rat snake he would have blended right in with that cord/hose! Maybe he thought he was a chameleon.

All smart phones do this, on android you can use Google lens on anything, take a picture and it will find what you are looking at. It's pretty good about being right too.

I got my garden all planted. I also donated blood to the mosquitos that apparently are here now.

I watered the peppers and tomatoes after planting, but they get a good dousing from the rain we're going to get overnight and apparently all day tomorrow.

As I get older, the thought of selling and moving to a condo sounds better all the time.

No way I would rather deal with mowing and maintenance than people!! They are the worst.

There is a shirt on a firearms site that says "I like God, guns, and about 3 people." That's me in a nutshell.
