Rock Album category that did not include the new Foo Fighters?

If something good came from Kurt Cobain and Nirvana's demise, they are it. I for one was very surprised at how good they are from the get go.

 

Spent a FHC day. Moved wood for Granny into her basement. Enjoyed a sea cruise to her place and back and she made meals. got the wood moved and the little empty woodshed reinforced (Campinspecter did that) before it started to rain again.

 

When was the cutoff for the Grammy's to be nominated? I know I was thinking the same thing. Foo fighters have been great since they started. I can't say enough good about Nirvana, and all the excellent music they put out. I saw nirvana in Chicago at the smart bar right when never mind was released as I was a fan of them from their bleach days. About 3-4 weeks later, smells like teen spirit broke as a single, and we all know how crazy it got for Nirvana after that. I never saw nirvana play live again

 

I told the crew no work in the am. My work title tomorrow will be Snow Removal Engineer. 10 deg here with snow. Brrr

 

Shocked at the Grammy's. Really, why not give Sam smith EVERY award for every category. Besides Beck winning 2, I think Sam smith got 5 Grammy's. It's not even a great song. So many better artists got passed over.

Morning all, -2 here this a.m. Wow.... it didn't even snow last night. Injesting the morning dose of caffeine trying to jump start for a day of delivering auto parts for my buddy's Automotive Recycle Center (junk yard). Always a interesting day doing that. Everyone have a warm, safe day.

 

"Still rock out to some. AC/DC."... so did the Grammy's last night... They opened the show and sounded good, and it looked like everyone loved em.

 

Very true. I wonder how much the recent headline about the song being a pretty much plagiarized tune with revamped lyrics from a great Tom Petty song helped his cause? I would think it would work just the opposite and get his nomination void, but these days, not so much.

It was pretty good .

 

I confirmed, foo fighters new album sonic highway was not up as it wasn't eligible this year. It will be an obvious rock album of the year next year.

 

I read West wanted to do some crying about his wife not winning one that another artist won during the show but decided to do it after the show this time. I don't know. I don't usually watch any of those shows but saw AC/DC and had to watch.

 

Kanye's wife hasn't done anything grammy or talent worthy. It was his friend's wife Beyonce that everyone assumed would win that award, album of the year. Instead, Beck won, with his first album since 2008. What was funnier yet was once people saw kanye get on stage, they thought it was a joke, referencing kanyes interruption of Taylor swift at the 2009 Grammy's.

Jokes on you kanye.

 

Kanye waited to talk about it until after the awards. Then berated Beck. Beck meanwhile was more than gracious. Go figure. Haters gonna hate, hate, hate

Except they are so old they forgot the lyrics to their own famous songs. .
