I put the weed and feed down in the big part of the lawn this am. There was a nice dew on the grass and it will be dry with no rain for a couple of days, so the timing was right.

I used the old tent's fly cover to put over the new grass that I planted so it didn't get killed from the weed control part.

I got the garden tilled this AM. It is super wet but if I make another pass this evening and another in the morning I should be able to get stuff planted tomorrow afternoon.

Going to try to get some tractor time in the woods tomorrow AM. I have a lot of brush that needs piled up with the grapple.

Borrowed a dump trailer and my brother's tractor. Got all the chips cleaned up from the giant maple stump in my yard. 64" across at the base cut. Tomorrow morning is topsoil and seed. And a shot of me and my brother beside the recently purchased Kenworth. signal-2025-05-09-17-44-40-098.jpg 20250509_151654.jpg 20250509_152300.jpg

I really am, that and had I hit the board a few inches different it would have been my neck instead my sternum. Make me rethink everything I do now.

These dump trailers can haul a few cubic yards.

    True.

Right now however, I'd be more interested in lumber.

I think the question might be: what's gonna be the next most highly valuable lumber? I gotta think walnut is getting played out by now.

Got lots of tilling, garden planting, and brush clearing done today. Fire pit and a glass of wine then off to bed.

Got everything cleaned up last night in the yard. 2 tons of topsoil this morning. All seeded and strawed. Plus got my fourth cutting board blank glued up. I'm beat. 20250507_143348.jpg 20250510_203552.jpg 1486b1c7-8bbc-4b4d-8e25-cea9b0ead21d.jpg 20250504_184412.jpg
