Normaly we would Gas but today we had an inch of snow by the time the sheathing was finished.
It's been tough this winter getting things like the roof prepped. In the pic I attached, just behind me
was a 5 ft snow drift on a valley between the old house and the new addition. Who knows when that
    will get cleared.

26 deg with light snow this morn. We recd about 2 inches overnite with more to come today and Monday.
I might get up on the flat roof later today and move some snow off just to lighten the load. It scares the crap outta me if we should ever get any rain and I have 3' of snow up there.

Yup... I get that part too IS. Our old camp on Webb Lake had a flatish roof, maybe 2' rise in 16'run. Had to get over there every year at least once to get the snow off. A very big rain event was heading to Maine and I took my son out of school and drove the 100 miles to clear the roof. We found a solid settled 3' of snow up there. We whittled our way around the outside over the walls... you could see the roof bounce a little at times... o_O The carrier beam was bowed down 2" in 16', in the middle. We got it all cleaned off and had a great day too. When that big rain came, roofs and canopies all over Maine were collapsing left and right. Very glad we went.

I slept in today. Wife and I sat last night and watched The Equilizer with Denzel Washington in it. We started it kinda late and it didn't get over until almost 11.

Now I'm getting some caffeine going and will be cooking the bacon for Sunday morning breakfast. After I eat a decent breakfast I may go out and take down a couple more trees. But the weather does not look good for it outside. Wind is blowing a little, but it is off and on, and a little snow coming down. So I will see what it is like in an hour and a half from now. No sense rushing things on Sunday!

50 degrees in indiana. Winter never showed up. I'm picking my 066 up today from another member here. It got a complete going thru to prepare it for milling with the granberg I just bought.

I may get up to my gun club today. I have 4 trees on the ground there so I will have to decide on whether to shoot or work.

Woke up to +1 and snow. Looks like we got a couple of inches over night. About to take on a load of French Toast and Bacon and the usual intravenous intake of caffeine. Everone have a good, safe day.

Gas according to our radar you should be snowfree in about an hour. Don't know about the wind............

Snow is still coming down. Not hard, but the wind is blowing fairly hard. I'm going to go out and do something, just haven't decided what yet. Might as well wait to plow. I think we have only got about three inches since yesterday. I'll probably bring some Pine Slab wood in from a stack I have outside the fence. I bought it over two years ago or more and stacked it out there and never used it. Pine slab should be dry by now! I have been burning straight Pine cord wood at night and everyday I am home and can tend to it on a regular 4-5 hour basis, basically three days a week. It burns fast but it still heats the house. :dex:Nice dry stuff, moisture content usually around 17-21% on a fresh split.
