Afraid I don't know, but entirely possible considering all the mergers happening before I left. What makes you think that?, did quality diminish or something down the grape vine?

Then everything except Govt (BIG Hon and Herman Miller customers!) puckered up during Covid.

Yes, a few years ago quality went downhill. Arms falling off, arm surfaces cracking, cylinders leaking, wheels breaking. They are basically lasting the same as the no name Amazon chairs now. Two years if we are lucky. Ten, fifteen years ago if we paid up for Hon we knew we could get 5-10 years out of a chair.

That's really sad to hear! Back in the day all the pneumatic cylinders ended up conglomerated in Canada. Never saw a leaking one unless the user liked to plop down on it. PS, if a pneumatic is not raising properly circle the chair counter clockwise several rounds to increase the pressure so it rises and holds pressure again. Also are there screws for the arms on the bottom of the seat?

Yeah a lot older than 30 years. That's an early 70's. Maybe mid 70's at newest. But that's about as new of a mariner outboard as you can get. Marathon mariners were early 2000's, right before Mercury killed that brand. See the mercury black engine aside from the grey mariner cover?

That is one of the reasons I got a gaming chair, I too tend to seit with crossed legs, or one leg under my butt. Gaming chairs have oversized seats which makes that sitting style more comfortable.

We transferred that from the other boat, along with the steering and such. Going to be able to strip that boat right down and make some major improvements.

The chair I bought has been discontinued. This one is fairly similar. Here is one with a footrest that fold up out of the way. There are a lot of the first type floating around that are probably all made by the same manufacturer, just different sellers working at different mark ups. The one I got, I bought from New Egg and it just happened to have a massager with a USB hookup for your computer. I haven't used it except to test that it worked.

Here is the link to my original post on here - looks like it was a Rimiking model 2857. The padding on the arms is great. My knees will stick out a couple of inches, but nothing like on my old chair.
