This afternoon, I was offered (asked) to go to our new location

I had kind of expected that, but figured it would happen before now.

Despite what the coffee council and their drug pushers say, it's still a drug, and there's a lot of caffeine in coffee. I don't mind the smell of at least decent coffee ( freshly ground beans) being brewed. But I won't really touch coffee unless I need a pick me up and I'm not able to get a soda or other drink with a little caffeine. As I've gotten older, I don't require caffeine every morning.

If I do get a coffee, it's more like a hot chocolate than coffee, and only because I have a gift card from day Starbucks. That's like a 1x a year thing at most for me.

Oh regarding the daylight savings time spring ahead deal. This year I was in Mexico. I don't think that they adhere to DST there. My phone didn't auto update to the new time on Sunday am. We flew back home on Monday. I really didn't show any effects of the time zone and we even switched planes in Phoenix, which was another time zone change, then flew into Milwaukee late Monday night. Tuesday back to work, no issues.

Was it more of a "volun-told" or do you have a choice?

They wouldn't make me if I really didn't want to, but I'm also being asked for a favor and don't really want to say no. There are a few reasons I'd rather stay, and a few more reasons I'd rather go. It's slightly further, won't have the same view, I'm not sure my lunchtime walk would be quite as nice, or as motivating to go quite as often. On the other hand, I expect it to be (perhaps much) busier (I hate being idle at work), probably an easier place to work with.

It's kind of come full circle, I was afraid I'd lose my new assistant, who's great, because he lived nearby. Now he's moving near our location, and we're having this conversation. Well, I guess I did say yes today. Figuring I'd actually make the move in a couple months.

1:20 am and there was a nice divot in the moon at the start of the blood moon eclipse when I went outside. Clouds were supposed to move in overnight, but so far it is clear

Just looked outside again and the moon is fully covered by the shadow of the earth. Too late to stay up and watch the rest of the show.

It is WINDY here today. Supposed to be a nasty line of storms pass through right around midnight.

Just need to finish up a few odds and ends in the barn and I'm ready for concrete. Supposed to be raining tomorrow but that's not going to bother me any pouring indoors.

Well shoot. We had a bad storm blow through the last three days. Lots of wind, cold, rain, thunder, lightning. This years firewood is covered with a 30' long Billboard Vinyls tarp and held down with stakes, bungee cords, lumber and railroad ties. Didn't matter- all of it was peeled off by the wind. Firewood is soaked. I covered it because more rain is coming. If we get a couple sunny days I'll uncover it and hopefully it will dry out a bit.
