Today looks like a day to let things dry out and keep a small fire in the stove.

I wonder what they would do if you refused to sign those papers?

I was up early enough this morning to take care of some chores before work. Threw in firewood and used the L5030 to bury the fire pit hole with the dirt I had mounded around it. Leveled everything off quickly before heading out. Good feeling to have all that chit gone.

We saw on the news that you were going to get hit again with snow. Ours is all gone with all the rain the past two days.

Yes, I'd assume it's a known risk. They knicked his intestin below where the surgery was, he went septic (despite being hooked up on monitors and intubated, it was his wife that was insistent on blood pressure etc). During that time one of his lungs collapsed and the other 1/2 collapsed. Living on 1/2 lung causes the heart to work too hard and burn out.

    They wouldn't perform the surgery.

Ours was gone, except for the big piles formed by plows and such. This is the most we've had at once for 4 years. Now waiting on a plow so I can clean that up and move my truck.

The Dildo Brewery is converting this former fish plant into a cannery. Though I'm not a drinker, this is a nice boost to our area vs seeing the building in disuse, and I'm glad to see it. Hopefully they'll soon get the exterior done on the other building.

I'm in the middle of something similar in the back of my property and let me tell you, it's good to hear you did it. Gives me fuel to go out and tackle it again as soon as it dries out a bit!

Woke up at 1:00 am to the sound of snow sliding off the standing seam roof. It was otherwise quiet, so it was just snowing at the time. Woke up (and got up) at 1:58 am to the sound of snow coming off the roof as well as a lot of water falling off it. It took me so long to brush my teeth that it was shortly after 3:00 am when I actually looked out the back door to find it is pouring. Still plenty of snow on the corner of the roof I can see from the back porch.

It's supposed to pour and warm up a bit thru the day. Uggh, the ground is still cold enough it could mean for some iciness. Or, it could mean the snow will melt. Either way, the river 4 blocks away is roaring from the rain and spring meltage, so it will continue to run high for another day or two.

We too are seeing them and almost all the birds are back or soon will be. Maybe the snow will slow them down a bit.

Yes. I often wonder what would have happened when my gall bladder burst if my wife wasn't able to sign for me. I certainly could not do it, but we had papers on file at the hospital that allowed her to sign.

Yesterday afternoon, and today I'll be installing LVP flooring in the kitchen. The linoleum was fugly, and this will be a lot nicer when finished. PXL_20240310_032709390.jpg

This is how far I got at about 9pm. I'm hoping I can get all the flooring down today, and then just need to finish the molding/ wood trim and the transition strips over the next couple of days. I'll have to paint the walls too, before the trim goes back, less taping this way.

Wind and Flood warning again! I don't think they anticipate flooding as bad as we had a few months ago. It seems like extremes are the new normal.

I almost went with that but they would have to order it and no idea when it would be in so I went with my second choice.
