This house is 2500 bucks. Only thing is, it has to be removed from the property at buyer's expense.

Might be worth it to someone but that's sounds like alot of work. Couldn't imagine what it would cost to jack it and haul in one peice.

Worked on cutting rounds most of yesterday and today. Some splitting half the day today. Finally digging into the tree tops where it is beginning to show progress.
Pretty warm the past two days , so I am getting ahead on the wood needs.

A quick Google search gives a range from feasible to more expensive than many houses. I guess if you had a piece of land just down a backroad or two, it might be worth it. If you had to go a longer distance on a main road or highway, I imagine it would get expensive quick. That house doesn't look worth a major investment to me.

We've gotten several cord out so far but theres a bit more there and he's got about all he wants so i gotta find a place here to stack it.

Getting ready for the bottom to fall out of the thermometer. High of 81F tomorrow and a low of 28F. Made sure the wood is stacked inside and dry for the wood stove. Test running the generator tomorrow just in case the high winds knock power out. Have all vehicles full of fuel and checked coolant levels...found a coolant leak on the minivan. Extra 15 gallons of gas and 80# of propane for dual fuel generator. 15 gallons of water since our water is from our well.

Past week son and I have been digging out old propane line from tank to the house. Line started leaking and it was encased in a concrete sidewalk. Found 2 splices underground too. Most of the line was less than 8" under ground. Saw cut and jack hammered concrete so we can place new line in a PVC sleeve Friday.

Used to be a huge "No-no" to run gas line through pvc sleeve like that.

    Why, I asked.

If a leak develops and the gas collects inside the sleeve, it is nothing more than an explosion waiting for ignition.

Actually, I never doubted how good I had it compared to my parents lives. I can't remember a time where I thought "they don't know anything".

Hear ya on the salesman bit. Even when they are into the 20's, you'll be doing the same thing.

I did that not too long ago, but I had set my smartphone up so I can use it to pay at the checkout. Without that, I would have been in the same mess you found yourself in. What gets me into a huff is when I lock myself out of my car. :hair:

This picture is from my son's home. His wife makes Halloween displays for their annual Halloween get together. The ghost are cement over sheets. She is very artistic.

I don't have either end of sleeve terminating inside the house. My propane provider said I needed a sleeve. I have install documents for 2" and 4" diameter gas mains that show schedule 40 PVC used as under road and sidewalk sleeves. If the sleeve terminated inside my house then it would need expanding foam seal on both sides and a small vent run from exterior side of sleeve. I think my propane provider still runs copper utility line from tank to house, not the newer poly welded stuff. I have seen the newer poly with a swept Pipe 90 with 2 ish ft of steel riser. The steel would need a short sleeve/bushing where it comes up through sidewalk.

We'll see what my installer says Friday. I'll have materials on hand but not installed. I want to have the trench dug 16" deep from house to tank ready for them Friday morning.

    We had that too.

Demolished the old record high and we got 74° yesterday. 19° out now and the rain turned into snow. Not much snow, but it snowed. Crazy weather. I think that was the biggest temperature drop for at least February here on the records.

Those are nice looking cars. 4-cylinder? That v6 is pretty impressive and maybe a bit too much for most new drivers.
