Glad you got it taken care of. Why did it freeze? Around here, the septic system area is always an off limits area during the winter.

I had my sewer pipe freeze once caused by a dripping faucet. There was bare ground, wind, and sub zero temps which aggravated the issue according to a plumber friend. I never leave faucets dripping to prevent frozen pipes.

Everything here is coated with ice. The sun is now out and the temp is 34 so I think most of that ice will go away.

You are a brave man to fix a sewer line. I know your options are few when those things happen.

    Looks like fun!
How do you freeze up a line in 49* weather?

I always say the only thing worse than plumbing repair is plumbing underground.

My cousin's house has concrete floors with buried plumbing. Back in the day I helped with many a leak and repair. Hammering out concrete under a sink is awesome said nobody ever.

Of all repairs to make around a home……I absolutely, positively hate plumbing :jaw:! I’ve done it but still hate it!!
Electrical, structural, finish carpentry no problems.

I despise hanging wall paper even more:rofl: . Thankfully haven’t had to do any in over 25-30 years, even then I was the grunt and my wife did the actual hanging :D

Yes! That’s why I always made my wife and kids leave the house during a plumbing repair/project!

Wow. Three youngest kids Birthdays done.
Thankful my wife took care of most of the cooking while I worked and took care of snow, freezing rain, at two places, (Mom’s and ours), and firewood and other chores.

All done in one night/party. Last night’s dinner was homemade lasagna , tossed salad, garlic bread, and a French Baguette, and then dessert. Each kid got their choice. So we had Eclair cake, carrot cake, and cannoli pie:drool:. :picard:I Yi Yi !

Twins are now 20! And the youngest is now 17!o_O

Anyone here part of (or previously a part of) the Home Depot SEEDs Program? Just got an invite to join which is interesting since I haven't provided reviews for many products bought there (i do more reviews on Amazon). I mean what does one say about a light switch cover? I do answer questions when I am able. There are caveats if you join, the biggest being a review has to be at least 350 words and 3 pictures. Once again, how much can you write/show about a light switch cover?

Wish they had invited me back when I was buying tools left and right to work on my house.
