    Today should be the last day of "holiday guests".

    It was nice visiting but it'll also be nice to get back to the old daily routine.

    I stayed up til 11 last night to see the ball drop and then went to bed. The new year came even when I was sleeping. Amazing how that works.:rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:

    Ice fishing derby next weekend, it's been a VERY mild winter. Many/most days above 30* and many nights only down to the 20's. This week has been highs in the 40's. There's fishing huts up all over. (canvas huts, not like a little building you describe), but still I pray they are all smart and stay safe.

    We all had a good laugh this morning. ATV carrying 2 guys and dragging sled stopped right in front of our swimming area. They were way too close to the shore for fishing. Anyway, they got off the atv, grabbed the ice auger and bored around 4 holes. Then jumped back on the atv and headed out to deeper water. They were checking the thickness of the ice!!!

    We walked out there 1/2 hour later and checked it ourselves in the holes they had bored. 4" and that was it.......:jaw:
